In 1963 record companies were desperate for surf releases which unfortunately led to some pretty awful ‘surf’ Lps.
None so bad as this.
Despite what the cover may lead to you believe, this collection of music is far from anything surf related. In fact, it’s a reissue of “Murder Inc” by Irving Joseph.
The whole thing is rushed - the album title on the record labels doesn’t even match the title on the cover. (Which is it? “For Surfers Only” or “Hang Ten” or “Surfin with the Wedges?”)
