Album Review:

A collection of tracks recorded around the same time as the Hot Rod City album, which was intended for a Challengers car-themed album. Obviously, this never materialized in 1963, but thankfully Sundazed released it as it might have been. 

Beach Boys fans will recognize Brian Wilson's 'She Rides with Me,' which was recorded by actor Paul Peterson in 1964. Dick Dale included 'The Blonde in the 406' on his Mr. Eliminator album in 1964. 'Hot Rod Show' is the same song as Hot Rod City's ''41 Ford' credited to the Grand Prix with new lyrics. Both 'Fastest Time' and 'Hot Rod Hootenanny,' are newly discovered compositions that are unique to this release. Among the instrumentals, 'Sunset Surfing' and 'Out of Limits' are of note.
