Album Review:

Here’s one of the weirdest, funniest, and over-the-top albums I’ve ever heard. The artist behind this creation, Jack Marshall also wrote the Munsters Theme for the TV show. Art is by the legendary Rick Griffin, who also illustrated for the Challengers.

Side 1 is wholly fake interviews with such imaginary characters as the World’s Richest Surfer, the Hodad of the Year, the Teenage Surfing Vampire; and others. The humor on this side hasn’t aged especially well and I’ve personally never gotten through the whole thing.

That aside, side 2 is absolutely hilarious! From the pseudo-amateur ‘bands’ to the comical musical mistakes and blunders, everything sits perfectly in the ‘world’ the album creates. ' Surfing Is My Life' and Some Gremmie Stole My Hairbleach' are some of the funniest moments in the whole genre.
