Album Review:

I'm noticing a theme with these South American surf-related releases. While many cash-in with self-proclaiming surfing titles, few emulate the surfing sound well. Such is the case with Los Surfin's (sic) 1964 Surf album.

Despite the prominent "Surf" on the cover, the only thing on this album that could be tied to the sport is 'La Fiesta Del Surf' - a song so excruciating it drives me to highly recommend you avoid this whole release.  Other tunes are played in pseudo-surf style - 'La Niña Del Yoyo' being the best out of them.

Nice try guys....I'd recommend trying out Los Mabbers' superior Surfin Con Los Mabbers.
